VALLEY ACTION FOR LIFE is a nondenominational, non-profit, charitable organization whose members are dedicated to the defense of innocent human life from conception to natural death.

We are especially concerned about the rights of the unborn, the mentally and physically challenged, the elderly, the abused and the terminally ill. As an educating organization we are available to provide speakers, video presentations and free literature on the various life issues.

In addition to this role as an EDUCATOR, VAL takes and active part in our community (Aylesford to Annapolis Royal), providing support to groups and individuals such as battered women, Birthright and the Valley Pregnancy Center (which assists young mothers) and the Revolving Door. Our members visit and assist the Veterans, Senior Citizens, the sick and others in need.

Our belief is that ALL LIFE is SACRED, given to us by God Almighty, and only He should take it away. We believe that life begins at conception and that development and maturation are an on-going process, or continuum.

CHILDREN ARE A GIFT FROM GOD

A CHRISTIAN VIEW

To resort to violence to solve personal problems is sharply in contrast to living by the Christian principals of faith. Scripture stands against all reasons for abortion and leads the Christian to leave life and death decisions in the hands of God. The Lord has spoken very explicitly of the sancitity of prenatal life, saying:

"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you."
(Jeremiah 1:5)

Euthanasia and infantacide are against the commandment of God which says:

"Thou shalt not kill."
(Exodus 20:13)

Our meetings are held downstairs in the Baptist Church, Middleton on the last Thursday of each month (except June, July, December) at 7:30. Volunteers are always welcome and needed.
