Mothers Against Drunk Driving, is an advocacy group for families and survivors of death due to drunk driving. This group offers understanding and support for families through the legal system and advocates on their behalf. MADD For Grief and bereavement North Of Smokey contact: NATIVE SOCIAL COUNSELLING AGENCY The Native Social Counselling Agency is designed to assist off reserve Aboriginal/Mi'kmaq individuals and families with an understanding of services which address their current social situation. There are offices throughout Nova Scotia and the provincial office is located in Truro. The community support counsellor works out of the Truro office, but is available to assist, or to arrange assistance for clients throughout the province. The community support counsellor networks with the client and appropriate agencies to provide the necessary service. Clients needing help and/or support in a bereavement situation can contact the community support worker and will either be helped directly or will be referred to specialised services available outside the counselling agency. Confidentiality and caring are two cornerstones of how the agency works with clients. The Community Support Counsellor is fully equipped to meet clients' needs and will do so promptly and with understanding. For more information please contact: |
