THE DEATH OF A LOVED ONE HURTS

Lingering emotional pain, outbursts of anger, feelings of guilt, and moments of hopelessness are all normal reactions to grief. At times these feelings are difficult to understand. Although we may think that once the funeral is over, everything should return to normal, it is necessary to understand that grieving is a process and it does not end at the grave side.

Grief is the emotional, spiritual, and physical response to the loss of someone we love. It demands that we show courage in facing the pain of our loss and acknowledging that our lives will never be quite the same. Grief challenges us to accept a new life without that special person.
