VETERAN WIDOW AND WIDOWERS ASSOCIATION

This association for veterans widow and widowers has been formed in the Truro and the surrounding areas. The purpose of this group is socialising, fellowship and to support one another in various ways.

Meetings are held once a month, on the second Wednesday of the every month at the Brunswick St. Legion.

The Widowed Friendship Group has been formed to provide a place where people come together and begin to develop a new lifestyle in a safe environment among people who share a common denominator - loss of spouse. This group provides an opportunity to meet new people, share information, and participate in social functions in the community.

WISH - WIDOWED IN SELF-HELP

WISH provides a place of contact and support for persons experiencing a loss through the death of a partner. Group meetings are for people at any stage of their bereavement.
