About the Canadian Paraplegic Association (Nova Scotia)

The Nova Scotia office of the Canadian Paraplegic Association was founded in 1952 and operates in two locations - one in Halifax, and one in Sydney. The Association is financially supported through government grants, as well as charitable dollars made through general donations and its fund raising activities. It is also an agency of the United Way.

CPA (NS) works to ensure that persons with mobility disabilities have access to medical equipment and supplies, treatment, physical retraining, counselling, job placement, accommodation, education, vocational training, sports and recreation.
