The K-9 Companion Program

The Association in partnership with Scotia Speed World opoerates a companion dog program for its clients. These dogs are specicically trained to meet the needs of the individual. They are working animals and are not pets.

The dogs are trained by K-9 partners of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia from funds held in trust at The Canadian Paraplegic Association. These funds were donatred as a result of the activities of drivers and owners of Scotia Speed World.

To date, two dogs have been placed in Nova Scotia with worthy candidates. For information on the program, please contact the Halifax office of the Association.
