EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT LOAN PROGRAM

Canadian Paraplegic Association (Nova Scotia) operates an emergency equipment loan program for Its clients. The service is provided free of charge. The Association has a small inventory of equipment that includes:
These loaned products are for short term loan only and are suitable for use when an individual is:
    Awaiting equipment that is on order from a supplier.
    Short visits home from rehab
    Awaiting equipment repair at medical suppliers
    Portable ramps for visitors, etc.
This program Is supported through donations. Individuals wishing to utilize this program should contact the Sydney or Halifax offices.

USED EQUIPMENT FOR SALE PROGRAM

Canadian Paraplegic Association operates used equipment for Sale program that is open to anyone who wishes to sell or to purchase used equipment. This service is provided free but donations are encouraged to support the program.

The Association keeps an on going listing of equipment that is for sale and items that Individuals wish to purchase including cost and telephone numbers for contact. A sample of this material is published in each issue of Ability Network Magazine. The Association purchases four pages of space in each issue of that magazine. Interested persons are encouraged to call the Association between issues.

The Association does not broker the equipment for individuals and is not responsible for the accuracy of the items listed. Items include:
    Wheelchairs
    Accessible Vans
    Scooters
    Power wheelchairs, etc.
Those persons wishing to list a piece of equipment, check for availability or list a wanted product can do so by contacting the Halifax office.
