The group was started in 1983 and has concerned itself with issues of importance to people with disabilities. Over the years, DUEL has had a positive impact on our community by raising public awareness on disability issues such as transportation, housing, accessible parking, and technical aids.

DUEL’s mandate is to raise awareness for those with disabilities, and to help them to achieve equality in our society through advocacy, fundraising efforts, and grass-roots action.
