| Purpose To create a respectful environment for persons with disabilities where they can access on-going counselling and support as they pursue new or expanded career goals. Services
The employment facilitator will assist clients in utilizing life skills and effective job search techniques. The facilitator will maintain contact with employers and training organizations to establish opportunities for clients. The employment centre works in partnership with other agencies to assist the client in obtaining any available funding for training, technical aids, and employment supports. Opportunities Fund Objective: To help unemployed persons with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and keep employment or self-employment. Eligible Participants
Referrals may be made through agency affiliation or the client may self-refer.
