An Employment Outreach Centre
For Persons With Disabilities

"They never told me I couldn't."
- Tom Dempsey -

Purpose

To create a respectful environment for persons with disabilities where they can access on-going counselling and support as they pursue new or expanded career goals.

Services

  • Career Decision Making
  • Skills Enhancement
  • Job Search
  • Employment Maintenance
  • Agency Referrals
Clients will participate in a review of their employment history and, as needed, may be referred to other agencies designed to meet their specific needs.

The employment facilitator will assist clients in utilizing life skills and effective job search techniques.

The facilitator will maintain contact with employers and training organizations to establish opportunities for clients.

The employment centre works in partnership with other agencies to assist the client in obtaining any available funding for training, technical aids, and employment supports.
