Annual General Meeting
Tuesday, September 16th, 2003 at 6 pm.

Refreshments and light snack to follow. Membership fee ($5.00) for the 2003-04 fiscal year (current year) are due for voting members.

The Executive are currently accepting nominations for the Board of Directors for the upcoming year. Individuals who are interested are asked to send a letter of interest outlining your interests, skills and abilities which you would bring to the Board or to contact Sandy Strickland-Cormier, Executive Director. We are in search of people from various backgrounds, abilities and professions. A noteworthy point, our meetings take place in a barrier-free meeting space.

Homes for Independent Living incorporated in 1980 and opened the group home - Oxford Street Learning Centre in 1982. Over twenty years later our programs have evolved and the many successful graduates continue to live independently in the community. For nearly 20 years we have operated a barrier-free housing complex in Metro and in the past 5 years have supported recent graduates with community living through our Community Outreach Program. In addition, our respite program provides the opportunity for individuals with physical disabilities to stay temporarily.
