King's Meadow is a licensed group home for 10 mentally challenged adults. It was formed in 1969 by a group of parents looking for alternative care for their children. Residents have a day program in the community, and are actively involved in household activities:
- Cooking
- Cleaning
- Making Lunches
All residents also participate in these daily living activities:
- Budgeting
- Banking
- Social Skills
- Counselling
- Vocational Awareness
- Personal Hygiene
- Leisure Counselling
Admission Requirements:
- Ambultory
- Must be accepted in a vocational day program
- Must be partially self-sufficient
