On behalf of the Executive of the Special Olympics Dartmouth, I'd like to thank those responsible for the success of Special Olympics Day at Upper Clements Park. The athletes had a grand time and I understand some ventured on the rides they would normally shun. Many thanks to Bob Wade and the Staff at the Park who made the day a success.
On behalf of the DSO Executive, I'd like to thank the Technical Resource Centre located in Waterville, for providing us webspace and their expertise for helping us advertise and look our best. Well done!
On behalf of the DSO Executive, I'd like to announce the departure of Debbie Beaton who made a difficult decision to leave due to medical restrictions. She was frequently observed playing as a spare during practices and enjoyed coaching. The Floor Hockey team took Silver this past Winter Games. She coached floor hockey, soccer, and softball and will be missed by her teams and the Executive. The DSO wishes her good luck in her future endeavours.
